Our stay was severely impacted by a storm, which caused road closures that left us stranded. Despite numerous attempts to reach the guesthouse for help, we received no response, leaving us feeling abandoned.

Fabulous location with stunning glacier views. The room had a few cleanliness issues though.

The view was breathtaking. with the glacier in the background and waterfalls nearby. Breakfast included delicious local specialties. We even spotted sheep grazing right outside our window, which added to the charm.

the guesthouse is in a perfect spot, super close to amazing hikes just behind the house. i loved having my own half-cabin, very quaint and quiet. the breakfast was really nice too, with a good variety of options. and a cute little farm dog greeted us upon arrival!

i seriously considered a good review, but alas—the staff totally ignored my calls during a storm. the room was warm, and don’t even get me started on the outdated shared bathroom. it would have been nice to have a little compensation for my miserable experience, not just a regular room! disappointment city, honestly.

This place is a cozy gem! The location is super close to awesome hikes and we even spotted the Northern Lights right from our window. The kitchen setup in the cottage was handy, but it would’ve been nice to have a microwave. Loved hanging out on the picnic tables outside enjoying the fresh air.

Just a reliable pick for shopping in Skalafell with attractive and competitive value for money. The kitchen was handy, making it easy to prepare some quick meals. Remember to bring your own shampoo and conditioner, as only hand soap is provided.

I had a great experience at this place. The views were stunning, and the breakfast options were excellent. The breakfast featured the best tomatoes I've ever tried. The staff was helpful, even preparing a to-go breakfast for me. I wish I could have stayed longer to explore more of the area, especially for someone who loves the local culture.

I noticed that my room didn't have a phone or TV, which was a bit unexpected. The towels had a strange smell, which was disappointing.
